Roman offers a complete rapid opening repertoire for the tournament player geared toward those who don’t have the time or want to study for hours on end and still achieve good results! The first volume looks at the white side, where Roman advocates 1.d4. He shows good practical setups for you to meet any of the defensive setups and popular defenses Black might throw at you. Volume 2 shows how to play Black and meet any common first move from White. Against 1.e4, Roman advocates a system combining d6, Nf6, and e5. Against 1.d4, he recommend the Nimzo-Indian. He also shows ways to meet the Trompowski, English, and 1.Nf3. Recommended lines are safe active lines to get you into a comfortable Middle Game.
