    Running Time: Over 120 Minutes

This instructional DVD is aimed at aspiring chess players of all levels. Students will benefit from top-notch instruction by the internationally respected teacher and tactician IM Dr. Danny Kopec.

On this DVD, Dr. Kopec focuses on various kinds of mating patterns and combinations, including: stock sacrifices, combinations to secure material gain, hanging pieces, and much, much more! Tactics are classified into a number of well-defined categories, including: checks, pins, skewers, double-attacks, overloads, undermining, X-rays, etc. Finally, the presenter examines Bobby Fischer's "Game of the Century" and a fantastic game by Mikhail Tal.

Released in October 2009, this revolutionary DVD is updated version of Dr. Kopec's best-selling "How To Visualize Combinations", first offered in 1994. Every aspect of the DVD has been changed, including state-of-the-art 3D animations, It incorporates 3D animations, all new titling graphics, new recordings of all on-screen segments of Dr. Kopec (using chroma key with 3D animation), and throughout the video all new graphic representation of the examples of chessboard play and the analysis, as well as images of most of the players mentioned in the DVD. With all this high quality production, coupled with an unequaled level of instruction, we believe this DVD is far beyond any other chess DVD to date.

Too many games end in either premature draw offers or resignations. Fighting in the endgame is a skill that can help players rack up those extra points. Alisa Melekhina analyzes two of her own games, one in which she drew a pawn down, and another in which she pulled off a win in an equal rook ending. The viewers are led through four major principles that can be applied in their own endgames: mentally adapt to a change in the position; resist by preventing your opponent from executing their only winning plan; take advantage of complacency; make your opponent make decisions. Even if a position is theoretically drawn, players should not discount the practical chances that they can create.
