"The Maestro has improved upon perfection by combining our legendary Collector Series Chessmen with the Imperial Knight, without a doubt one of the most finest Knight designs ever produced."

To pamper you, The House of Staunton is proud to offer the Collector Series Luxury Chess set. This full-tournament sized Chess set features. A full club-sized Chess set, it features a 4.4" King with a 2.0"diameter base. The Chess pieces are hand carved by our master artisans and crafted out of the highest grade woods. The Chess pieces are heavily weighted with luxurious billiard cloth base pads and a beautiful finish. The Collector Series Luxury Chess set has been crafted to replicate the design and proportions of the original Staunton pattern Chessmen, registered by Nathaniel Cooke in March of 1849 and first manufactured by Jaques of London in September 1849. The distinctive feature of this set is the the open-mitered Bishop and original Knight design, which was originally sculpted by the Maestro, Frank A. Camaratta, Jr. With it's downturned head, flowing mane and aggressive facial expression. this is one of the finest Knights ever to grace the 64 square battlefield.

As with all of our Chessmen, the Collector Series Luxury Chess set exemplifies a perfect combination of distinct beauty and functionality. It has been designed to withstand the rigors of practical play while maintaining an elegance which has become the hallmark of a House of Staunton chess set. The design, quality and craftsmanship of this set is UNMATCHED by any set of Chessmen in its price range. Nothing even comes close!

The Chess Set comes with a personalized Certificate of Authenticity and an original manufacturer's plaque indicating the production number, with an adhesivebacking that would allow it to be affixed to the underside of a Chess box.
