    Video Run Time: 6 Hours

This DVD provides you with a repertoire of attacking lines against the four major defences to 1.e4 – that is, 1...e5, the Sicilian, the French, and the Caro Kann. These systems will put your opponent under pressure, and when players are under pressure, mistakes occur. This is a practical repertoire – if we study openings we want to be sure to use them in our games. For example 1 e4 e5 2 Nf3 Nc6 3 Bc4 is one of the recommendations. After just a few moves, you will be dictating play. The Power Play series is suitable for anyone looking to improve their chess, but also provides ready-made lessons and exercises for a trainer. Video runningtime: 6 hours.

    • Beating the Berlin Defense - Alexei Shirov

Ever since the Kasparov-Kramnik World Championship Match held in London in 2000, players with the white pieces have been trying to crack the formidable Berlin Wall in the Ruy Lopez. There may also have been some successes for White of course, but time and again Black has convincingly demonstrated how to equalize or even how to construct an impregnable fortress. The situation from White's point of view has become precarious

The ancient chess opening 1.e4 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bc4 has been refined into the Modern Italian Game, and is a great weapon for the average club player. But this system also scores well for White at all levels - right up to Grandmaster. It's 100% sound, solid and durable, offering White the chance to develop a nagging edge throughout the game.

With the Traxler Variation (4.Ng5 Bc5!?) spearheading their repertoire, any player should look forward to fighting for the initiative against the Two Knights with Black. Opening
This DVD is intended in the first line to offer strategical guidance for Black on the Leningrad Dutch, based on the examination of the most typical structures. For objectivity’s sake I have examined both sides of the medal, putting the main strategic dangers aside with the typical plans. I have included all my earlier database articles published in Chessbase Magazine, a database with all the games to which I have referred in the videos as well as a small database with essential games that one should know.
