Book Description

Win Like Kasparov! is the first in the Win like My Hero! series by International Grandmaster Ron W. Henley. This instructional series was created for chess players to learn to play like the most heroic figures of the Royal Game. Tactics and strategy are explained through the use of visually enhanced diagrams.

Win Like Kasparov! begins with the Biography and Openings sections. There are Complete Games, Middlegames, Combinations, and Endgames sections. At the end of each section are training diagrams. The reader has a chance to find powerful solutions that occurred in real games and learn to Win Like Kasparov!

About the Author(s)

Ron W. Henley earned the FIDE International Grandmaster title at the Madame Suharto Cup in Indonesia in 1982. He has also won events in Colombia, Mexico and Switzerland. He is the author of numerous award-winning books and producer of over sixty chess videos. Throughout the 1990's Mr. Henley was Chief Trainer to the Twelfth World Champion Anatoly Karpov for nine matches. In 1996 he coached the US Team at the World Youth Championships in Cannes, France. He also sponsored and trained US Women's Champion Irina Krush and US Champion Hikaru Nakamura early in their brilliant careers.
