Description
Arnold S. Denker was one of America's and the World's leading chess players. He played and competed in almost every leading chess event from 1933 right up until his death just short of age 91. He won the US Chess Championship in 1944 defeating Reuben Fine.
This book was originally published in 1947 with 55 of his best games, the last game being against World Championship Botvinnik, which ended in a draw. In 1981, he sought to expand this book by adding ten more games including his draw against Fisher, the last game, bringing the total number of games to 65 and the last year to 1976.
