The Chess pieces are hand carved by our master artisans and crafted out of the highest grade woods. The Chess pieces are heavily weighted with luxurious billiard cloth base pads and a beautiful finish.

The Chessmen are new and each set consists of 34 Chessmen, including four Queens, a standard that was introduced by The House of Staunton in 1993.
Crafted in Spain, the House of Staunton Standard Traditional Bird's Eye Maple / Greenwood Wooden Chessboard - Satin Finish (2.375" Squares) features Greenwood (dark) and Bird's Eye Maple (light) squares with a Bird's Eye Maple frame. This veneered Chessboard is 0.5" thick and has a satin finish.
The Slide Top Chess Box is the most economical way to protect your chess pieces. It comes with a removable green pillow lining that allows it to hold a set of chess pieces of various sizes, from 3.0" to 4.4".
