The House of Staunton is proud to offer the Bedford Series Chess set. Designed by the Maestro, this full tournament-sized Chess set features a 3.75" King with a 1.6" diameter base. The Chess pieces are hand carved by our master artisans and crafted out of the highest grade woods. The Chess pieces are heavily weighted with luxurious billiard cloth base pads and a beautiful finish.

While such features as the flower-like Bishop mitre and the spherical King head are a bit unusual by today's standards, that wasn't always the case. Crafted in Spain, The House of Staunton Standard Traditional Olivewood / Bird's Eye Maple Wooden Chess board features Olivewood (dark) and Bird's Eye Maple (light) squares with an Olivewood frame. This veneered chess board is 0.5" thick, has a satin finish and a beautiful molded edge.

The Premium Chess Box is lined in green billiard cloth, divided and features brass quadrant hinges and a lock & key.

The House of Staunton Classic Traditional Blue Erable / Maple wooden Chess Board features Blue Erable (dark) and Maple (light) squares with a Blue Erable frame. This veneered Chess Board is 0.5" thick, features a delimiter separating the frame and the squares and has a satin finish.

The Slide Top Chess Box is the most economical way to protect your chess pieces. It comes with a removable green pillow lining that allows it to hold a set of chess pieces of various sizes, from 3.0" to 4.4".
